With reference to your letters of the 3rd and 18th of February referring to the Colonial Office official

-Allan communication of the 17th of September (43352/20), I sub-

mitted your letter to the Controller of the Clearing Office

and now enclose a copy of a Memorandum by Mr. Chetham Strode with which the Controller of the Clearing Office agrees. I hope that this Memorandum gives all the information you want.

I may mention that our missing papers (6275)

were found in the Clearing Office. They were sent to the Public Trustee on the 23rd of September through a clerical oversight, The necessary record was not made in our Regis- try.
